Why We want to Improve the Efficiency
of CPU Heatsink
We know a good CPU heatsink is very
important for CPU cooling. Not only it keeps low temp of CPU for
stability, but also increase overclocking ability.
There are lots of good heatsinks available in market. But still,
nothing is the best, we can always improve the efficiency by
flatten heatsinks' CPU contact area. When it has better flatten
contact area, heat transfer from CPU to heatsink improved.
However, most manufactories doesn't do a good job on lapping
because it is not cost effective to them.
From this picture, we can see the bottom of heatsink is totally
not flat. a lot of thermal paste pushed to the left.
